We are the music office of the Eastern Metropolitan Region (Department of Education and Training Victoria).

Our office administers instrumental music programs in 48 secondary schools from Hawthorn in inner Melbourne to Healesville 60kms from the city.

Our main functions are:

• to produce the annual EMR Youth Concert (Primary & Secondary) held at the Arts Centre Hamer Hall in Winter.
• to organise professional development for instrumental music teachers in the region.
• to oversee the staffing of instrumental music programs including an annual review of each music program in the region.
• to support instrumental music staff in our region.
