Early/Delayed Admission
Support and advice for parents, preschools and schools is provided in relation to the early or delayed admission of children to schools.
The minimum age of entry to a Victorian Government school is 5 years by 30 April each year. Children do not require approval to delay school entry until they have reached 6 years of age.
Exemption from School
Support and advice for both parents and schools is provided in relation to the excmption of school-aged children from attendance at school.
Applications are processed and certificates of exemption provided where this is deemed to be in the student's best interest.
