Australian Government Quality Teacher Program

 

Teaching, Learning & School Accountability Personnel

 

The Australian Government Quality Teacher Programme (AGQTP) is funded by the Department of Education, Science & Training (DEST) as a Quality Teacher Initiative.

AGQTP provides, the opportunity for schools, clusters or networks to develop professional learning projects that will enhance teacher practices leading to improved learning outcomes for students. Schools/clusters are invited to submit proposals for funding in one of the following areas: Curriculum, Targeted Learning Needs and Cross Cirricular/ Whole School approaches. These projects need to be designed around the Seven Principles of Effective Professional Learning and must meet the accountability requirements set by DEST.

Schools are now invited to apply for grants for 2008.
